Every item carries a stability and a difficulty, and the probability of recall is computed from your actual review history, so Ebbio asks only for the items that truly need a review today, rather than following a classical fixed curve.

Yes. Set a goal date on an item or a collection and Ebbio works backward along the forgetting curve to schedule the last review so that retention on the day meets the target (95% by default). Neither cramming nor spacing that ignores the deadline: scheduling built for the exam.

Yes. Set a daily limit by item count or by time. When reviews pile up on one day, Ebbio spreads them within about 15% of each item’s interval (up to 10 days), so a mountain of overdue reviews never forms. Fragile memories with intervals under 3 days are never moved.

Yes. Every item has its own curve computed from your real review history, available any time. You also get the estimated retention across everything, average stability, your streak, and a monthly calendar.

Yes. Auto, light or dark theme. Seven accent colours (blue, green, teal, purple, orange, pink, indigo) or any colour you make yourself, and you can change the background, card and text colours individually. The colour theme and custom screen colours are perks of the one-time purchase.

On your device. Nothing is sent to a server and no account is needed. In the settings you can switch to encrypted file storage (PBKDF2-SHA256 with 600,000 iterations and AES-256-GCM), and only you hold the key. Backups are JSON files, encrypted or plain, saved wherever you choose.

Today Ebbio is designed to be complete on one device, and your data never leaves it. When you change phones, export a JSON file and import it on the new one. A secure, selective sync (Ebbio Sync) built on the app’s encryption is planned.

Yes. Set a “finish by” time and Ebbio notifies you at that time minus the estimated review time and a buffer. The estimate shrinks as you get through the day’s reviews and is recalculated every time you return to the app. You can also use a fixed daily time, turn individual weekdays on or off, and skip days with nothing due.
